Tendro Ground G1

Self-driving weed removal for paved areas.

No chemicals. No flames.

The robot finds the weeds in the joints, drives to them by itself and heats only the plant.

The robot's camera: green boxes around plants in the joints between paving stones
The robot's own camera. Each green box is a plant it has found.
The problem

The hours go into the joints

Since 1 January 2024, Denmark no longer allows persistent herbicides such as glyphosate on paved areas.

The reason is groundwater: on paving and gravel there is no soil to bind the chemicals. What is left is hand weeding, brushes, flame and hot water. Machines are fast on large open surfaces; it is the joints, the corners and the hours that cost.

How it works

Three steps

1

Finds the weeds

A camera and artificial intelligence on the robot itself find the plants in the joints.

2

Drives to them

A laser scanner and distance sensors all the way round keep it from running into things.

3

Heats the plant

A hot tip goes down into the joint, onto the plant only. No chemicals and no open flame.

It gets better with every run

Every run adds new images, so the robot gets better at recognising weeds. It is built for repeated treatments, like a grounds crew today: a plant that is still green gets treated again.

Where we are

Honestly: what we have seen, and what we have not

Seen

  • 33 plants found, driven to and heat-treated by the robot on its own, 3 minutes each (October 2026, own yard, paving)
  • In 24 of 31 photographed treatments the tip hit the centre of the plant
  • Visible damage to the plants the same day

Not seen yet

  • How many plants die after one or more treatments, at scale
  • Surfaces other than paving stones: gravel, cobbles and others
  • Running with nobody nearby
  • Speed: 5–6 plants per hour today, everything included
Pilot sites 2027

Help shape it

I am looking for 2–3 municipalities that want to test the robot on their own sites in 2027.

A free trial period

The robot works on one of your sites during the 2027 season.

A paid season, only if it works

Then a paid season, only if the robot meets the criteria we agree on together.

With a person present

During the trial a person is always with the robot.

Put yourselves on the list

No commitment. I will contact you, and together we agree where and how a trial could work.

You are also welcome to just call.
